S.E.A SERVICE (SOUTH CHINA/ U.S WEST COAST EXPRESS SERVICE) TO HAVE A MAIDEN CALL M/V “COSCO MALAYSIA 014 W/E” CALLING TAN CANG – CAI MEP INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL (TCIT) ON NOVEMBER 01st 2011 (04/11/2011)

With 102,834 DWT of tonnage, 334,07 m of LOA, and 8,501 teus of capacity, Cosco Malaysia 014E/W of Cosco is scheduled to berth at 16:00 hrs lt on October 01st and depart at 07:00 hrs lt on October 02nd. Her route includes 07 ports being Cai Mep TCIT – Nansha – Hongkong – Yantian – Xiamen – Long Beach – Cai Mep TCIT.

On 01 November 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) – a joint venture between Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), MOL (Japan), Hanjin (Korea), Wanhai (Taiwan), held a maiden call celebration of Cosco Malaysia 014E/W  of SEA service (South China/ U.S. South West Coast Express Service) at TCIT. SEA service includes 06 vessels with average deadweight tonnage of 8,500 TEUs, in which only COSCO China is exploited by Wanhai Lines.

Her route includes 07 ports being Cai Mep TCIT – Nansha – Hongkong – Yantian – Xiamen – Long Beach – Cai Mep TCIT.

 TCIT is now the biggest player in Cai Mep – Thi Vai area in terms of market share and number of weekly ship calls. With total area of 40ha of CY equipped with 06 STS Post-Panamax cranes, 20 eRTG 6+1 cranes, 30 tractors, and 1,080 reefer plugs, TCIT has become the most modern deepwater terminal in Vietnam with the highest record in vessel handling productivity of 126 moves/hr/vessel on 8th October 2011.

TCIT is also well connected with other logistics facilities of SNP by road and waterway transportation system including Tan Cang – Song Than ICD (Binh Duong Province), Tan Cang – Long Binh (Dong Nai Province), Tan Cang Terminal (HCM City), Tan Cang - My Thoi Terminal, Tan Cang – Cao Lanh Terminal, Tan Cang – Sadec terminal in the Mekong Delta, Tan Cang – Mien Trung (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province), Tan Cang – 189 and Tan Cang – ICD No.128 (Hai Phong) and Phnompenh Port (Cambodia).
